Welcome to Summerfield Farm...

Located just 1.5 miles South of Whitby on the A171, Summerfield Farm offers quality holiday accommodation with spectacular views across open countryside to the sea and North to Whitby Abbey. Furnished to a high specification there are three holiday cottages and a holiday home to choose from; two of the cottages have disabled facilities if needed and include antique furniture with co-ordinated fabrics. They are open all year and have log burning stoves to keep you warm and cosy on those wintry evenings.

The holiday home is just 400 yards away with its own private grassed area and is completely self contained; ideal enjoying the peace and quiet of the beautiful countryside.

Out and about

Whitby is the perfect location for exploring and enjoying the North York Moors National Park. Whitby itself is a 17th Century whaling station, famous for its connection to Captain Cook and his ship the Endeavour. Many of the original buildings date back to that time and there are lots of shops and restaurants to visit. The Abbey itself is a short walk down the lane from Summerfield and you can see the town from the top of the 199 steps which lead into the oldest part of the town.

The North York Moors National Park is spectacular with its rolling hills and valleys covered in heather and sheep! There are lots of places to visit including the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (which you can travel on) in Pickering, Robin Hood’s Bay (just a few miles South of Summerfield), Hutton le Hole, Rosedale and Helmsley.

Summerfield Farm offers comfortable accommodation for you and your family. We regret that the cottages do not accept pets but the holiday home does accept one well behaved dog.
